The Lake Shore Adult & Community Education was first initiated as the St. Clair Shores Adult and Community Education Citizens’ Advisory Council in 1973 for the purpose of bringing the Adult and Community Education Program as close to the needs and interest of the citizens as possible. The reformation of that group led to LSCAC consisting of the Residents of St. Clair Shores and subsequently members of the Lake Shore, Lakeview, and South Lake school districts. Members of this council work to achieve the following:
- To publicize and promote programs;
- Cooperate on joint sponsored projects;
- Identify trends in the community;
- Promote public interest; and
- Represent the Adult and Community Education program to the public.
